Hannah is a Licensed Master Social Worker u/s for clinical licensure. She obtained her Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma in 2021.
Hannah worked for two years as an intern therapist for The Healing Arts Studio in Little Rock, Arkansas, training in modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems. At The Healing Arts Studio, Hannah gained valuable experience serving clients who struggle with emotional dysregulation, postpartum mood disorders, parenting children with complex behaviors, chronic illness, and neurodiversity. During this time, Hannah completed Marsha Linehan's Foundational Dialectical and Behavior Therapy Certification.
After graduation, Hannah worked at the DBT Institute Oklahoma City and Restore Behavioral Health as a Psychotherapist and DBT Group Coordinator, carrying an individual caseload as well as programming, planning, and leading psycho-educational DBT Skills Groups. In 2023, Hannah completed advanced training in Sandtray therapy.
Hannah works with clients who may be experiencing intense emotions, have conflict in their relationships, have difficulty navigating stressful situations, or may be engaged in self-harming behaviors.
Hannah believes that a skills-based approach is a powerful vehicle for balancing change and acceptance. This stability is further supported by somatic experiencing and trauma processing modalities.
Seeking to provide therapy that is culturally competent, accessible, experiential, and real, Hannah joins with her clients as a partner in the healing process, honoring each client as the expert of their lived experiences. Hannah aims to offer her clients a cozy, safe, and quirky space to process, learn, and heal.
Individual therapy helps clients:

-Navigating transition periods.
-Heal trauma.
Hannah likes to support her clients with a blend of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, and Sandtray Therapy to support left brain and right brain integration.

DBT skills groups can be effective for a wide range of people. The only requirement is that you have an individual therapist. In skills group, we learn and practice skills for:
1) Emotional Regulation
Why do we have such big emotions?
What purpose do they serve?
When should we fully experience an emotion, and when should we engage in opposite action?
2) Interpersonal Effectiveness
How do we get what we need in our relationships while maintaining respect for all involved?
How do we make friends, keep friends, or end toxic relationships?
3) Distress Tolerance
How do we survive a stressful event without making the situation worse through risky behaviors?
4) Mindfulness
How can we be more present in the moment?
DBT skills groups are psycho-educational, allowing group members to learn and practice new skills. Psycho-education is an important supplement to individual therapy, not a replacement for therapy. While we do hope to share and connect with fellow group members, these groups are not intended to be used for processing.
DBT Skills Groups are closed-groups with limited availability. Contracted on a 6-month basis, groups meet weekly for either 60 or 90 minutes. To join a group or to recieve more information, please fill out the Group Inquiry Form.
Fee Schedule:
$50 per week, private pay.
*DBT skills-groups and skills-intensives are not affiliated with LFS counseling.
Weekend psycho-educational intensives for individuals or caregivers/support persons are available upon request.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a modular, evidence-based treatment for symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder, mood disorders, anxiety, substance use, eating disorders, OCD, non-suicidal self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
DBT balances both change and acceptance perspectives by providing concrete skills for navigating complex emotions and behaviors.
A comprehensive DBT program must include four components of treatment:
Comprehensive DBT is offered through a 6-month contract. Treatment time varies depending on the severity of symptoms but often concludes after 12-18 months.
Bubbles is an Australian Labradoodle and therapy dog in training. She recently turned one-year-old and is preparing to take her therapy dog certification test in early 2024.
Bubbles loves to help clients in session by providing hugs and leans for deep pressure touch. She is friendly, easy-going, and incredibly soft. The perfect cuddle buddy!
When she isn't at work with her Mom, Bubbles loves to play in the yard with her tiny humans, wrestle with her cat brother, and take cozy naps on the couch.
If you aren't a fan of dogs, allergic, or afraid, please don't hesitate to let your therapist know.
